Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang is derived from the pale yellow flowers of a tropical evergreen, Cananga odorata, that is thought to have originated in Southeast Asia. The tree can grow to heights of 130 feet. Ylang ylang has been used to cover the beds of newlyweds, for skin treatments, to soothe insect bites, and in hair preparations to promote shine and control split ends. It has also been used to treat colic, constipation, indigestion, stomachaches, and to regulate the heartbeat and respiration.
Emotionally, Ylang Ylang brings feelings of self-love, confidence, joy, and peace. By stimulating the adrenal glands, it brings back feelings of self-love, confidence, joy, and peace. The oil can be used to relieve anxiety, depression, fatigue, and even frigidity. Ylang Ylang helps balance the male and female energies, thus influencing sexual energy and enhancing relationships, making it the perfect oil for Valentine’s Day! Ylang Ylang is used in a number of therapeutic-grade massage oils, as well as in blends such as Joy, Sensation, Clarity, Peace and Calming, and Forgiveness.
