It’s that time of year—spring cleaning has arrived! One of the most important things you can do when cleaning your home is to set up a plan for yourself. An organized plan will allow you to tackle the big job of spring cleaning more efficiently, saving you time, money, and even your sanity in the process.

In order to help keep yourself in order when cleaning your home, try dividing your home into zones. By doing this you will be able to keep a handle on each room of your house. You can pick one room each day to work on when your schedule and energy allows. By starting in one “zone” and completing that room before moving to another, you ensure that each small piece of your room is completely organized before moving on. This organized plan also keeps you from getting too overwhelmed by trying to take on cleaning your whole house all in one
day, while still allowing you to see progress and results from your work immediately.

Consider setting a timer while you work in each zone. By giving yourself only a certain amount of time to work in each room, you can be certain not to waste time. You will want to get as much done as you can in your
allocated time, so you will work harder to get your goals accomplished and move on to the next zone. The zone approach also gives you the chance to de-clutter any areas in each room that you have been meaning to work on. Make sure that you throw out anything that you do not want anymore or need; this will be very helpful to help
keep the clutter down to a minimum.

The good news is after you have started this process and get your rooms organized and de-cluttered the way you want them it will take you no time each week to be able to keep them clean. Now that sounds like a great spring! 
