Trampled! Self-Application of Raindrop Technique in Case of Emergency

Young Living’s Raindrop Technique (R.T.) can be a wonderful and healing experience when you are in physical and/or emotional distress; however, it takes experience to administer. Last week, I realized that although I have trained many people in applying R.T., I had neglected to teach my closest family members. When disaster struck, I was stranded without an available experienced administrator and left in severe pain.
Raindrop Technique involves the systematic application of essential oils on the feet and the spine to
achieve a sense of physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. Many of my family members and friends have
experienced for themselves the overwhelming benefits of Young Living’s Raindrop Technique. My husband, who
suffers from a myriad of spinal injuries, including but not limited to herniated discs, disc removal surgeries, and
degenerative disc disease, claims that Raindrop Technique is the only thing that aids his extreme level of
discomfort. Whenever my daughter Leigh is overwhelmed in her studies and suffers from stress headaches, fatigue,
and anxiety, Raindrop Technique calms her nerves and quiets her mind.
About a week ago, I too needed relief.
Anyone who has ever owned or bred horses can attest to the fact that the late spring and early summer
season is, for lack of a better term, “interesting.” Recently, I scheduled a veterinary appointment to artificially
inseminate Rossano, my youngest mare. As I led her through her pasture and we made our way to the trailer,
another, more dominant mare bit Rossano from behind, and Rossano unexpectedly bolted. I never even saw it
coming! The next thing I knew, I was knocked to the ground in the middle of an excited herd of mares. In fact, it
is a miracle that my oldest mare and trusted companion, Rose, shielded me from the onslaught of panicked
hooves. She stood by my side until I regained my composure, stood up, and tried to figure out what had just
happened.
It was not until a few hours later when I realized just how sore I was. My entire body ached as I sat in the
veterinarian’s office, and it hurt for me to breathe. I immediately went home and tried to contact my chiropractor,
but he was out of town for the entire week! My family was unable to make me more comfortable despite their
attempts.
In much discomfort with no aid, I decided that I would have to take matters into my own hands.
Whenever you cannot have a full Raindrop session, sometimes you have to settle for the next best thing. I knew
that I could gain substantial benefit and relief by self-administering the foot portion of the Raindrop Technique. A
“mini-Raindrop” consists of applying eight of the nine oils using the VitaFlex method on your feet (Valor, Oregano,
Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, Marjoram, Cypress, and Peppermint, respectively). After my “mini” R.T. session, I was
breathing easily and my muscles were relaxed. This experience reaffirmed to me that essential oils can indeed be
the potential source of great relief and of great benefit. When you cannot get the whole “shebang,” I think that
you will find this partial Raindrop Technique application highly beneficial as well.
